Syntho-Sleeve Directional Drilling Weld Joint Coating System

Syntho-Sleeve®

Syntho-Sleeve Directional Drilling Weld Joint Coating System

PRODUCT INFORMATION
Syntho-Sleeve is designed to protect field welded joints on coated pipelines from the abrasion stresses of directional drilling on all pipe diameters. It is easy to apply, has a very low profile, is extremely conformable, and highly impact resistant. The result is a cost effective, long term protection against corrosion.

Syntho-Sleeve has a unique capability to conform to the pipe coatings and field joints while offering exceptional abrasion and impact resistance due to its low profile.

The Syntho-Sleeve System provides a more cost effective solution by:

  • Increasing speed of application
  • Eliminating the need of flame torch
  • Reducing the damage during pull through due to its low profile
  • Outstanding impact on damage resistance
  • Cold flow providing permanent inflow into the finest pores of the substrate
  • Low surface tension; adheres on all dry substrates at a molecular level
  • Extremely surface tolerant; no grit blasting, only wire brushing or hand tool cleaning required
  • Non-crystalline

PREPARATION & APPLICATION

  • Surface Preparation 1

    Surface Preparation
Promote adhesion by removing pipe coating, rust, paint and other foreign matter in accordance with Sa 2.5, NACE 2 or white metal.

  • Syntho-Steel® Load Transfer Putty 2

    Syntho-Steel® Load Transfer Putty
Syntho-Steel putty fills all pits, dents and other anomalies effectively transferring the hoop load to the high tensile strength composite.

  • Syntho-Subsea High Compression 3

    Syntho-Subsea High Compression
Kevlar filled Subsea epoxy ensures a water-tight seal over the repair area while providing chemical resistance.

  • Syntho-Glass®XT Extreme Tensile Strength Composite 4

Syntho-Glass®XT Extreme Tensile Strength Composite The bi-directional fiberglass permanently repairs and reinforces both the internal & external corrosion damage.
